Back in 2009 I mentioned finding my old Super-8 movies and having a blast reminiscing about what I did as a kid. Here’s the post about it in case you missed it. And now I’ve got a quick video highlight of some of those films. Back in the late 70s/early 80s….Spielberg was everyone’s idol (yes I paid attention to directors even back then)….and even if you didn’t know who he was by name you certainly loved his films.
Love his films. It’s hard to rank my faves as there are 3 that are right up there depending on my mood. 1. BOOGIE NIGHTS – MAGNOLIA – PUNCH DRUNK LOVE 2. THERE WILL BE BLOOD 3. SYDNEY/HARD EIGHT
For some Danny Boyle is hit or miss…..but for me I truly love a filmmaker who can seamlessly jump from genre to genre. I do love some of his films more than others….but here’s a great video showcasing this man’s vision.

It’s very interesting to think about why certain images and shows stick with you long after they’re gone…..I wonder what it is about these that create the permanent mark?
