With the private premiere event for NEW YORK LATELY coming closer, everything seems to have come crashing together making the last few weeks — and the next few ones more hectic than ever.
In addition to meeting, reviewing and discussing (both in person and over the internet) the sound design, color correction and music cues for NY Lately….I have also been doing the same for DISMAL, which is also scheduled to be finished sooner than later in order to get screeners to potential distributors.
My days have been stuck to the computer most times as I review and give feedback to various teams regarding each film project and then multi-tasking publicity and marketing materials as well as responding to some press coverage for NY Lately. I’ve had to miss out on a lot of social events because there simply is no time at the moment. I’ve almost lost track of time since things have been snowballing towards D-day where all the elements for NY Lately must be ready for the final mixing stage to be ready in time for its screening.
Thank goodness I have a immensely talented team surrounding me for NEW YORK LATELY — from the composers, musicians, graphic/vfx artists, colorists, sound designers (yes that’s you Ben, Nate, Miguel, Jason, Ben, Keith and Kaplan) to my wife that keeps my sanity in check.
I’ve barely stepped outside in the last few weeks….and I think I actually missed seeing the seasons change a little which sucks.
What day is it today?
