He’s Baaaack

My good friend and Cinematographer extraordinaire — Jason Varner — is back in NY. The guy is seriously talented. He’s responsible for the look of HUBRIS and GRIT. I’m very excited to begin working with him on the look and feel of NEW YORK LATELY. It will definitely be a departure from our usual styles. We plan for lots of steadicam in this film, as well as doing things with colors that we haven’t really explored in our earlier works.

This month it’s all about creating the shot list (and refining it) and working with the talent to make sure things are ready to go by December and January. Call me weird, but I already have the trailer in my head and know what shots I’ll need to pick up to make it happen.

The fun is about to begin.
