Casting Around the World

As we head into our 2nd round of auditions, I am truly amazed at the level of interest from actors not living locally within the New York City area. My Casting Director and I were shocked and humbled by people contacting us from around the U.S. wishing to read for certain roles….and even have had people from Italy and other countries contacting us for an audition. Amazing.

I know going into the project I want a diverse cast — to hopefully reflect how I see New York. But first and foremost we are casting based on talent….that’s they way it’s gotta be. I can’t wait to see who comes through that door and just nails the role like they own it. It rarely happens, but when it does…man is it a sight to see.
