Seeking Songwriter/Composer Muse

I know it’s early since we don’t roll into production until December….but it’s not a lot of time when ideally I would love to find someone to bring the film alive with some original songs for one of the main characters to sing.

The songs performed are an integral part to the film’s storylines and moods. I’m hoping to find someone who will bring their talent to elevate the film to another level that I could only dream of (but never would be able to do myself). More than just original songs, it would be very neat if the person was interested in scoring the film as well….almost like Jon Brion does while incorporating Aimee Mann’s performances in the film MAGNOLIA. I somehow think he’s a bit too busy and pricey for me though. Damn.

Anyway, I’ve got a list of incredibly talented people that I would love to work with someday (Cliff Martinez, Damien Rice, Rachel Yamagata, Matt Costa, Joshua Redman, Alison Krauss, Bic Runga)…..I could go on and on in so many different genres.

I know there’s a ton of talented indie musicians in this country, so hopefully I’ll make a connection soon and be off to the races!!
